Donna is a Business Performance Improvement professional with over 15 years experience in domestic and international operations management and consulting. Prior to joining SAI Global Professional Services, she held various positions in Quality, Materials Management, Purchasing and Operations Management of a two location label printing business. Her experience includes non-destructive testing, purchase planning/scheduling, procurement, international procurement and partnerships, materials management, resource planning and operations management.

Donna is adept at thoroughly understanding what is important to companies and their customers. Her strengths and experience lie in developing an integrated plan of improvement, which is tied to strategic business objectives and will deliver significant return on the company’s investment. She also focuses on developing employees to become self sufficient and empowered to improve. Her use of Lean tools such as Takt Time, Standard Work, Pull systems, 5S’s and Performance Measurements enable her to capitalize on eliminating non-value added and building upon value added activities. The use of such tools within the Lean environment allows businesses to establish current as well as future state metrics to work towards.
Donna most recently developed and directed a continuous improvement initiative within an international manufacturing facility, concentrating on business process operations and team development.

Donna has spent the past several years teaching continuous improvement and facilitating Lean/Kaizen events in facilities both internationally and domestically. Her broad range of experience includes job shop environments, aerospace, assembly, insurance, banking, administrative processes as well as many others. Her extensive medical and aerospace background has made her invaluable in both disciplines. Donna was instrumental in completing a 2 year total company “Transformation” using her skills as a lean trainer/facilitator within a medical device company. She has implemented improved processes using a 5 day Lean/Kaizen approach that resulted in a $250,000+ cost savings in a one year period. Her experience also includes several set up reduction events resulting in $100,000+ yearly savings as well as assembly line improvements with a $250,000+ yearly cost savings. She has a wide range of clients including UTC, MedTech, Action Packaging, Franklin Pump, US Surgical, Seitz Manufacturing, and Intuitive Surgical.
Credentials
Donna received her initial Toyota Production System/Kaizen Training at a division of United Technologies under the guidance of Shingi-jutsu, LTD. Donna has also been a facilitator for the association for manufacturing excellence (AME) Kaizen Blitz. She is currently training to become a Six Sigma Black Belt.
