Glen Mondani
Background
Glen has more than 20 years experience in domestic and international management systems, including implementation, auditing and training. Prior to joining SAI Global, Glen assisted Florida Power & Light (FPL) in their successful pursuit to be the first US recipient of the Deming Prize for Quality. At FPL, he worked at the plant level to integrate quality management, environmental management and regulatory compliance, creating a unified business management system. Glen's assignments while with FPL included working as an Application Expert (Black Belt) to lead improvement teams in solving critical problems.
Glen has been a senior consultant with SAI Global for over 10 years and has been exposed to hundreds of companies from various industries, each with unique environments, systems and objectives. These experiences have given him a tremendous amount of industry knowledge which allows him to assist clients in achieving their implementation/certification goals. This experience also has helped him effectively train over 700 EMS lead auditors to the ISO 14001 standard in addition to hundreds of others in areas such as OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001, QS-9000 and process management/business improvement techniques.
Specialties
Glen is adept at implementing and integrating various management system elements within an organization's culture and priorities, effectively utilizing international standards (including ISO 14001, ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001) to add value to an organization's existing business systems, while protecting the environment and creating a safer workplace. These skills, plus his in-depth work with large, dynamic environments, make him a valuable part of a client's liability and cost reduction plans.
One of Glen's strengths is his ability to motivate others to work together toward a common goal. As a trainer, he is able to present complex issues in an easy to understand format while creating a relaxed atmosphere where participants are at ease to achieve their training objectives.
Clients
In addition to experience with industries such as manufacturing, military, construction, entertainment and government regulatory agencies, Glen has extensive experience in the automotive industry, specifically in the areas of assembly, crash test engineering and transmission. He has led automotive plants through successful registration and helped them in the effective integration of quality and environmental management systems. Some of Glen's clients include: DaimlerChrysler Manufacturing (including assembly plants), Ford Motor Co., New Venture Gear, Toyota, VolvoPenta of the Americas, Kanthal Corp., US EPA, Carnival Corp., IFC (branch of World Bank) and various US government agencies / military branches. Most recently, Glen has assisted in one of the largest ISO 14001 implementation efforts in history - all Army National Guard facilities within the US and its territories.
Credentials
Glen received his BA in Economics from the University of Miami, and holds an MS in Geology from Florida Atlantic University.
He has delivered papers at several national conferences and universities including ASQ, Society of Plastics Engineers, Georgia Institute of Technology and University of Tennessee.
